This Guy’s Channel is So Fucking Cool
by Phil Rot
I’ve been developing a new parasocial relationship with this YouTuber, and you should too. He goes by the channel name, InterestingBooksReviewed, and in describing his content, the word “cozy” immediately springs to mind. This is the cool uncle I wish I had growing up, the one with a bookcase full of UFO books, terrorist manifestos, and the type of speculative WW2 revisionism that will have you jailed in parts of Europe.
I first stumbled across this guy when The Book Club from Hell boys did an episode on Programmed to Kill by Dave McGowan (shout out Dave Herod, who guested on that). Before even finishing the episode, I was on the hunt for a copy of this seemingly “cool” book. Besides discovering that someone had uploaded a full audiobook of this intriguing tome, I also came across a channel with a curious description:
“Fighting the good fight against disinformation and supporting the narrative! I believe and obey the legacy media and I am here to "bust" myths and debunk conspiracy theories! Join me!”
This was InterestingBooksReviewed, a guy who clearly understood the rules of engagement in the information warzone we call YouTube. Between his calm, fatherly demeanor and this:
It was an instant subscribe.
InterestingBooksReviewed is the type of Conspiracy Theorist I’ve been missing in all the years since I was first exposed to Bohemian Grove via pre-Ozempic Alex Jones. You see, before Q, you could mistrust the government narrative and not be instantly labeled a Nazi. In fact, there were reasonably left-leaning folks out there who thought 9/11 was an inside job and that AIDS wasn’t caused by HIV (proto-punk anti-vaxxers.)
True Info Warriors don’t hang their hats on a presidential candidate or political party like the Q shamans or I’mWithHer’s did. It was well understood among the Conspiracy respectors that partisan politics were a containment operation meant to round up the sheep into manageable camps, pens where they could peacefully be fed their state sanctioned slop and think they were on the right side of history.
IBR (I haven’t figured out his actual name yet) is old school. He unapolegetically posts memes like this:
My wigga.
Since joining his members-only channel, my respect for the guy has only deepened. Oftentimes, I am tempted to send his videos to friends and family members before thoughtfully refraining. It’s just that he’s so fucking cool. The man has amassed what has to be an entire bunker’s worth of truly interesting books, many of which are unavailable for anything less than thousands of dollars on Amazon.
His main topics of interest seem to be Satanic Ritual Abuse, UFOs, Deep Underground Military Bases, MK-Ultra, Serial Killers, and that funny little country in the Middle East that every decent person loves and unequivocally supports. Before discovering his channel, my interest in topics like UFOs and MK-Ultra had long worn thin in favor of other more tangible obsessions. Now, praise the Lord, I’m right back on my X Files sheeeit.
Not only has IBR renewed my interest in those most illegal of aliens, but I’m now reconsidering my previous assumptions regarding Ritual Abuse and Serial Killers. Thanks to my lamestream media programming, I’d always assumed recovered childhood memories of getting mogged by guys in black robes was just a way for unscrupulous therapists to sell books. We were all told it was just “Satanic Panic!” It’s easy to dismiss these crazy ass stories when you’re told to by “the experts.”
Well, it turns out there are other “experts,” and these experts are way cooler and way more defamed and have written great books that are out there somewhere just waiting for you to find them! If you’re looking for something interesting to read along these lines, you owe it to yourself to check out IBR’s channel. I would start with one of his Top 10 lists if you don’t have a specific book in mind. It’s impossible to make it through one of his lists without pausing every third minute to look up the availability of every book mentioned.
Here are some standout books I’ve found out about thanks to his channel:
Eye of the Chickenhaw by Simon Dovey: An in-depth exploration into the world of “children's movies.” Not an enjoyable read.
Final Judgement by Michael Collins Piper: When exploring the JFK meme, people love to point to groups like the CIA, Castro supporters, and the mafia, but isn’t there someone you’re forgetting?
MILABS by Helmut and Marion Lammer: Aliens are psyops, chud! Very cool perspective.
Blasphemous Rumors by Andrew Boyd: Euro SRA speculation and an amazing book cover reminiscent of F. Gardner’s Horror’s Call series.
The Synagogue of Satan by Andrew Carrington: The next time you see someone with an “I Heckin Love Banned Books!” shirt, be sure to recommend them this one.
UFOs, The Grand Deception, and the Coming New World Order by Norio F. Hayakawa: I haven’t gotten my hands on this one yet, but his description of it in this video is one of the most compelling calls to action I’ve ever received. Apparently, it’s full of sensitive military information and ties together both the UFO deception and DUMB topics together in a way that is most likely reasonable and plausible.
But he doesn’t just list and review books; he offers an insight into his personal philosophy and faith, and he delivers it in a way that is both chill, charismatic, and, dare I say, cool. I wish I’d met a guy like this earlier in life, someone who could have calmly led me down a mind-bending, paranoic rabbit hole at a family Thanksgiving or Christmas get-together. I guess we all arrive here at our own pace, and who knows how different my life would be if I’d read The Six SIded Star at 16? (Probably not more gooder, now that I think about it).
In a post-Q world, voices like IBR’s are more necessary than ever. If you Trust the Plan or Trust the Science, you’re just NGMI. No one politician, political party, or new age guru is going to save you. All one can do is focus on the interesting things in life and try not to get swept up in whatever new system update is dropped by our benevolent, and sometimes neurotic, overlords.
RETVRN TO 90’S CONSPIRACY MAN.
If you haven’t yet, be sure to subscribe to IBR’s channel. If you dig what’s on the non-members channel, it’s only the tip of the iceberg. His members-only content is vast and fascinating. He even has a video on how he digs treasures out of Half Priced Books. Imagine finding something like Children for the Devil in the wild! I’d love to reach out to him and give him a copy of my book, but I can’t find his email anywhere (though I understand how a guy like this wouldn’t be so forthcoming about this).
Somewhat related, I just found out Alien/Paranormal Black Metal exists- and that’s a good thing! Check these dudes out. What an aesthetic.
Ahh 90s internet conspiraccy theory really takes me back.
Love the earnest kudos from Phil. Great beard on this guy. It's clear that the attic matches the drapes - lots of grey matter.
